I finally used this chest strap yesterday on an ebike ride on my local park trails to get some GoPro footage. When I first tried to use it, the camera mount that fits into the vest receptacle broke. I took a couple photos and sent them to the company and they promptly sent me another one (though the shipping was very slow).
The fit feels awkward at first until you consider that this vest is supposed to sit high on your upper body, so the lower straps end up right about your lower rib cage.
The straps are wide and comfortable, The elastic seems good, but only time will show that for sure.
The mounting plate on the chest isn’t very thick, but it’s light and seems fine.
Overall, for the price this is a good buy. It did its job for me, and that’s all I can ask. Compared to the overpriced GoPro accessories, it’s certainly a better deal, but I can’t compare the quality as I don’t have the GoPro model… very heavy use or rough use may bring out the differences between the two, but for my use this one shines!
